If you pull a large trailer with your Ford Super Duty, an enhanced version of available BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert is offered especially for you. It provides coverage for not only the truck you’re driving but also the trailer you’re towing. [7] The system supports trailers up to 33 feet long.
A camera mounted behind the windshield scans road lane markings and detects an unintended lane departure during day or night. When the system detects you’re drifting outside your lane, available Lane-Keeping Alert warns you through a series of steering wheel vibrations, which simulate driving over a rumble strip. [7] There’s also the Driver Alert mode. It can recognize repeated lane drifting as a sign of tiredness and issue visual and audio alerts that it’s time to pull over and take a break.
Working on the job or getting to your weekend destination should be free of on-road surprises. But hazards along the way can arise. This feature scans the road ahead and can alert you to potential collisions with vehicles detected in your path. If an impact becomes imminent and you don‘t take corrective action, the brakes can apply automatically — but only if it’s necessary. [7]
